Objectives of Gamata Tourism

  2. Establish Sri Lanka’s first nationwide network for community-based travel experiences (Go Local Sri Lanka).

The Community-Private-Public-Partnership (CPPP) model facilitates accessible capital and essential infrastructure, expediting the development of local travel experiences. This model balances responsibilities and investment across sectors:

Community :

  1. Contributes land, labor, local knowledge, and unique experiences.
  2. Form a dedicated group of local residents who are passionate about sustainable tourism and hospitality, committed to delivering authentic and unforgettable Sri Lankan travel experiences.
  3. Identify and develop local resources to craft immersive tourism experiences, with guidance and support from Traveleye
  4. Design unique travel experiences that showcase the community’s traditions, skills, and natural surroundings, ensuring alignment with established guidelines and quality standards.
  5. Manage and maintain tourism experiences with a focus on excellence, authenticity, and guest satisfaction, creating lasting impressions for visitors.
  6. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and service quality, ensuring a welcoming and memorable experience for all tourists.

Private Sector :

  1. Private-sector investors must be ready to invest and develop rural tourism initiatives of community-based travel experiences in Sri Lanka.
  2. They must treat this as a national requirement of the country and help the rural communities to develop different travel experiences based on the resources available in the village and nearby.
  3. We as Traveleye, always in touch with private sector investors who are willing to invest small sum of their hard-earned money on our projects and they must treat this investment beyond the investment meaning.
  4. Investors must do these projects as their CSR projects and help the rural communities to up-lift their livelihood and economic wellbeing.

Public Sector :

  1. Motivator: The government encourages investors, communities, and tourism entrepreneurs to actively participate, ensuring the tourism sector remains vibrant.
  2. Facilitator: As a facilitator, the government collaborates with both public and private sectors to provide necessary infrastructure and resources that support tourism projects.
  3. Dynamist: By harmonizing efforts among the government, private sector, and community, the government helps create a cooperative environment where tourism can thrive, benefiting all stakeholders. Provides supporting infrastructure and for tourism growth.

INGOs (International Non-Government Organizations)

INGOs can contribute to developing travel experiences and provide necessary funds to enhance the knowledge of the community involving in this project, also can provide funds to purchase raw materials for necessary developments.
